Hi-fi enthusiasts have a lot to look forward to as Chord Electronics prepares to unveil a brand-new, reference-level analogue component at High End Munich 2025. Known for their meticulous engineering and iconic British design, Chord is once again pushing the boundaries of analog audio with a highly anticipated addition to their Ultima Reference range—the brand’s top-tier lineup.
While the exact nature of the new product remains under wraps, it’s clear this launch is intended to make a serious impression. The new component is expected to become the flagship of its category, joining the esteemed company of the Ultima preamplifier and mono power amplifiers already in the Ultima Reference family.
This exciting debut follows in the footsteps of standout Chord Electronics launches from previous Munich shows, including the Ultima Integrated amplifier in 2023 and the Suzi pre/power concept in 2024. Given that even the one-step-down Ultima range has earned critical acclaim, this upcoming release promises next-level performance and design.
Attendees at High End Munich will get the first look at the new piece on May 15th, with Chord founder John Frankson site to share deeper insight into the innovative technologies behind this landmark product.
