Rethink Wired Audio with the Chord Electronics Mojo 2
Posted by The Sound Organisation on Aug 28th 2024
In the world of hi-fi it can often be assumed that good, high quality audio comes at a steep price. While hi-fi is definitely an investment, it doesn’t always have to break the bank. Enter the Chord Mojo 2. A user-friendly, portable DAC.
In the article from What HiFi, the author begins by explaining his journey from wired earbuds to wireless, and his home audio setup. He keeps it on the affordable end featuring more entry level products like the Planar 1 turntable and Acoustics 3030i standmount speakers. Everything changed for him when he saw a colleague using the Mojo 2 in her home setup. She had spoken highly of the benefits of owning the Mojo 2 such as traveling on long flights and train rides and maintaining a high level of audio quality.
Fast forward to now and the author has the Mojo 2 paired with Sennheiser Momentum 2.0 wired over ear headphones and isn’t looking back. Immediately he noticed just how crisp and clear the audio flowed through the speakers from the Mojo 2. It made so many records fun again. While many consumers have felt the need to leave the world of DAC’s behind for the sake of wireless, there is still a strong argument to be made because of the Mojo 2. The sound simply can’t be replicated as closely and with such detail from wireless speakers alone.
