The Ultimate Portable Setup? Chord Electronics 2go

Just a few years ago, Chord Electronics began a journey to take hi-fi mobile. They first achieved this with the Poly streamer that was able to connect to the Mojo portable DAC/headphone amp. This was an incredible offering at the time. It’s now time for the Hugo 2 to get an upgrade. Enter the 2go.

The 2go connects to the Hugo 2 via two mini USB ports. Once connected, full wireless streaming capability is unlocked along with microSD slots that can hold up to 2 terabytes each.

As far as streaming options, the 2go is equipped for Tidal, Qobuz, and Spotify. With this system being portable, that would prompt the question of battery life. No fretting here, the 2go boasts 12 hours of playback on a single charge. There is no display, so you will have to rely on the lights for feedback.

Once it’s assembled and ready to go, the sonic results deliver and then some. It is noticeably better than the Mojo/Poly setup which was already great. It’s clean and crisp with a slightly warm tone.
